He was a referee for the New Brunswick Football Officials Association and refereed Badminton.

Jeff also worked with Optimum Ride as a bus driver and travelled to many destinations. He worked with the City of Saint John as a skilled worker with Local 18, where he made many friendships. Jeff would do everything in his power to help anyone in need. He volunteered with his church, Kennebecasis Baptist Church, Outflow Men’s Shelter, and was a frequent blood and plasma donor. Jeff was a vivid light that made everyone around him brighter. His motorcycle gave him joy and he enjoyed going on rides with his friends. He loved spending time with them, especially with his daughter Addy. Born in Moncton, New Brunswick on June 2, 1976, he was the son of Sam and Donna (Boudreau) Ermen.
